Meet Some of Our Team.
The programme is run by both professionally qualified staff as well as programme facilitators, who have personal experience of addiction .They act as guides to the clients in living the 12 steps programme. They are recognised by the management to be a number of years in good recovery and follow a 12 step programme. This model has been applied successfully in other countries such as the US, Holland and Spain. Project facilitators bring a level of motivation, support and understanding from their own experience, which serves as a positive model to those in the process of recovery from active addiction.
Fr. Denis Laverty
Founder & Director (retired)
Fr. Denis supervised the day to day running of SJCN with a very hands on approach. He was responsible for the ethos of the Camino, providing a safe haven where clients can enter a completely drug free environment to gain the tools needed to maintain their recovery by way of a peer designed and lead programme. Denis was responsible for the vision and direction of St. James Camino.

Administration
The office is the first point of contact for all queries. It is through the office that assessments are made. Matters such as legal, social welfare, appointments, information about the programme, donations and general queries go through the office.

Senior staff member , Head facilitator and overseer of therapy program in St James Camino Residential Treatment Centre. David has a years of experience in trauma and addiction therapy .Relevant Coursework : Traumatology, Addiction studies, M.I, C.R.I
Paddy
Programme Manager

Paddy has been working with the project since 2005 and currently holds the position of Programme Manager. Paddy oversees the running of the group therapy programme, meditation group, work therapy and also liaises between the project Director, management core staff and the project worker team.
